BAHAMAS - AUGUST 2009

Garrett and I were vacationing in the Bahamas that week. On Tuesday, August 18, we had a reservation for myself and Jennifer (My twin brother David's girlfriend) to go swimming with the dolphins. This was my birthday present from Garrett. After an amazing afternoon with Jake, Stormy and Sean (the coolest dolphins in the world), we headed back to the hotel where I took a nap and got ready for a romantic evening alone with Garrett. After dinner, we met up with the rest of our group to relax in the main lounge and enjoy the evenings entertainment. Just as we were getting settled, they called Garrett up on stage. I didn't think anything of it...thought it was part of the show really. He started to talk about the resort and how great the staff was, and then announced who he was vacationing with and had me join him on stage. (just great, now I was embarassed and nervous as hell!) He told the audience (almost 200 people watching us on stage) about how long we have been together and what an amazing day we had that afternoon. I had told him it was one of the best days of my life. Well he preceded to tell the audience that he came up with something else that just might make this day even more special...he then put his hand in his pocket. The crowd went absolutely INSANE! pictures flashing, and I'm somewhat clueless. He got down on bended me and asked me to marry him! I was shaking and it took a minute or two for me to actually say YES! :) The band played 'Always and Forever' and we had our first dance as an engaged couple.
